Listed are opportunities available to you. It is up to each scout to take advantage of the opportunities by actively participating and to give their book/Blue card to the person teaching the skill upon completion of the requirement.

SKILLS NIGHT - BRING YOUR SCOUT BOOK

IF YOU ARE NOT YET FIRST CLASS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR SCOUT BOOK AT MEETINGS (especially skills night) AND ALL CAMPOUTS.

For other Skills nights, please remember to let Miss Judi, Mr. Ashley or Mr. Chris P know if there is something you would like to do. Remember asking prior is key (the week prior is best) because we have a lot going on and people committed to other activities.

It is your responsibilty to give your book to the adult you worked with at the time you worked on the skill for a signature. If you don't you may have to do the skill again at a later date!!

Many of you are holding partials from summer camp-- please ask for the name of who can help you complete that MB

Do you have an Environmental Science MB partial from Summer camp??--see Mr. Jim J

Have you finished what you have been working on and need something new, call a counselor, don't assume they will be able to help you, counselor's are teaching mulitple merit badges and can usually only do one at a time.

A list of eligible people/MB Counselors is at the library.


CAMPING ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE

Troop 130 JLT Training required for all youth in order to be placed on an election ballot for a leadership position (PL, ASPL, SPL)- no exceptions-plan to attend

Looking ahead March will be Wilderness Survival. If you want to do the purchasing and 1st Class requirements see Mr. Ted. Other opportunities will exist for outdoor requirements. For example, you can make your camp gadget or plan to cook over an open fire. Ask and you can find your way at night and during the day. The opportunities are plentiful. ASK!!!
